Forge your own magic build.

Crimson Ark is a single-player dark fantasy action RPG built around loot, character growth, and spellcasting combat. Travel with your companion Maria through five regions lost to an endless night, and decide exactly what kind of mage you want to become.

Let auto-hunting carry you through the field, then take the controls when a boss steps in. Read the patterns, wait for the Break, and pour everything you have into the opening.

Loot worth hunting for

Prefixes, suffixes, and set bonuses give the same piece of gear a different purpose. Compare your finds, upgrade the keepers, and reforge their affixes until the build clicks. Pets, auras, Circle ascension, and the World Tree keep your power climbing.

Bosses you beat with your own hands

Field combat can run on AUTO, but bosses are yours to fight. Dodge lethal patterns, wait for the opening, and unleash your spells during a Break to turn the fight around.

IIIThe Studio

Gneul Games

그늘게임즈

An independent studio of one, making dark fantasy games with care.

Gneul Games is a one-person independent game studio. Gneul (그늘) is the Korean word for “shade.”

Being a solo studio isn't something we hide. It's how we work. Crimson Ark is designed, built, and tuned by a single developer, which keeps the vision focused and lets every decision be made with the finished game in mind.

  • 01

    Independent by design

No committee and no compromise on tone. Ideas move quickly from sketch to playable build, and the game is shaped by what actually plays well.

  • 02

    Craft you can feel

We obsess over the details players notice: weighty combat feedback, boss patterns you can read, balance that respects your time, and careful localization.

  • 03

    An AI-assisted workflow

AI tools are part of our everyday development. We use Claude Code and ChatGPT throughout production, from programming and testing to tooling and localization review, so a one-person team can build at a larger scale. They're development tools only: Crimson Ark doesn't connect to any AI service while you play.
